The Ski The East Awards honor the best ski resorts in Spain, Andorra and the French Pyrenees according to visitor ratings during the previous winter season, in this case 2021-2022. In total, the Ski The East Awards evaluate up to 17 categories. Some of them are: the ski resort with the best access, the resort with the best accommodation offer, the resort that works its slopes the best or the ski resort with the best lifts.

Vall de Núria once again wins the first prize as the most ecological ski resort among all the ski resorts in Spain, Andorra and the French Pyrenees. Without a doubt, the unique access to the station via the rack railway, making it a car-free space surrounded only by nature, is one of the most valued aspects for visiting users. In addition, the station works on actions to strengthen the capacity to adapt to climate change. Some of these actions are the expansion of the current Geothermal energy installation to progressively eliminate all diesel installations, the replacement of vehicles running on fossil fuel with electric vehicles or the optimization of the snow production center.
